As a teenager, the author developed an interest in electronics and built radios, amplifiers, computers and even transmitters.
The author spent twenty years in the British armed forces. He was trained on various weapons and tactics. He did two tours of Northern Ireland, arrested three terrorists, got shot at a few times, mortar-bombed and had a friend shot by a sniper.
Later on he transferred to the REME (Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers) and worked on tanks, APCs and other armoured vehicles. He did two tours of the Falklands.
He now develops highly specialised web applications for the construction industry, the art world and many others.
